HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 Flatbed Scanner

I have to scan and email our purchase orders but this machine keeps adding blank pages. For example I have a 2 page purchase order and when scanned into PDF etc it shows 2 pages but adds 2 blank pages. If I scan one page it adds a whole blank page. Am concerned that sending my orders this way may result in a page being left off by vendor. if I scan 3 pages I get SIX pages, 3 goo and 3 blank. I have to email these but why does this machine add extra pages?

Hi,

As the scanner supports two-sided scanning, from your description I would assume your scanner settings are configured to scan both sides, while the original is a single-sided page.

Please make sure the scan settings are not set to scan both sides, or look for any "duplex" wording, uncheck the option and check for any difference.

If any similar behavior persists, please clarify the exact steps used to scan, e,g, any specific scan button on the device, or any specific application used to scan from the computer to better understand any possible cause.
