Hello,
I used to be able to scan from my printer into the hp smart scan and then email directly from the app and now that is not working it acts like it sends the email and doesn't send. how do i fix this please

Step 1: Use HP Smart's "Diagnose & Fix" Tool
HP has a built-in tool in the HP Smart app that can automatically detect and resolve issues like scan-to-email failures.
- Open the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 PC.
- Click the wrench icon (bottom left corner).
- Select Diagnose & Fix.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 2: Check Your Email Account Security Settings
If you're scanning to email using your personal email (like Gmail or Yahoo), recent security updates may be blocking the app from sending emails.
- Gmail: You may need to enable access for "less secure apps" or create an App Password if two-step verification is enabled.
- Yahoo: Similar steps apply to enable access for third-party apps or generate an app-specific password.

Step 3: Update HP Smart App and Printer Firmware
Make sure both the HP Smart app and your printer firmware are up to date. Outdated software can cause email sending failures.
- Open HP Smart > Settings > Check for Updates.
