Whenever I'm scanning documents , usually in the 100s, my HP smart app crashes causing me to lose all my progress and scan. The application gets stuck on the Scanning page ........ and then does not respond and the only option is to close the app and start over again which is very frustrating. I am on an HP notebook windows 11 Pro , using the Document feeder on the LaserJet pro MFP 428dw ,HP smart app running on  version 154.1.1072.0 . I have tried re-downloading and re adding the printer , restarted the printer, and updated the printer through the app. The issue still remains.

If you are trying to scan 100 pages in a single document, likely you are overloading the system. Small office devices like this are limited to the number of pages that will fit in the adf in a single load.

I am currently scanning between 5  to a maximum of 140 pages per scan session and to prevent myself from losing all my progress, I'm dividing my load into 3 or 4 parts, saving each part individually and then merging all the pdfs into one big pdf. And i could be overloading its capacity but this issue started recently as a few months ago, i was scanning up to 150 pages per without any issues.
