Printer is HP ENVY7640, it went off warranty in 2016. MacBook Pro is latest Apple with Apple chip. Mac OS is Monterey, Version 12.1. I've been able to scan to my desktop until today. Now each time I try, the system crashes. I've tried unplugging and replugging the printer to no avail. HP says I have the latest version of HP Smart. Any ideas why I cannot scan successfully.
