Both HP Smart and HP Scan&Capture shortcuts are only on my taskbar, where are they on my computer?

In other words, if I by mistake unpin them from the taskbar, where do I find them?

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation.

However, I would like to know in which folder on my computer I can find their EXE files. For example, if Adobe Acrobat is on my task bar, I go to

<user dir>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar,

locate Adobe Acrobat, then right-click and click on Open file location, and I find Acrobat.exe.

HP Smart and HP Scan&Capture are NOT on

<user dir>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar, so I can't find their EXE files.

Any idea?

Something's very weird here. I received yesterday a reply by Dragon-Fur, and it's gone! disappeared!

@gadisam

Not weird - deliberate.

The discussion is moving toward Windows protected areas in the File System.

I made a personal choice to provide the basic app path without suggesting or encouraging that you breach Windows security.

After that,  the posts were deleted -- the first one is not relevant to what you want, the second provides the folder location without details - not important and not secret, but not entirely useful out of context.

Truth, I don't care what you do with your machine.

Admittedly, I should not have engaged on the subject.

My apologies for having wasted our time.

Thank you for your reply.

To the best of my understanding I didn't break any security rule, the folder path can be easily found in the internet.

But OK, I understand.
