Hi @eduard15pr,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error you're encountering with the HP Smart app's Mobile Fax feature indicates a connectivity issue with HP's servers. Here are some steps to resolve this problem across iOS, Windows, and Android.
Check Internet Connectivity
- Ensure that your device is connected to a stable and reliable internet connection.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data (on mobile devices) to rule out network issues.
- Restart your router or modem if using Wi-Fi.
Update the HP Smart App
- Ensure the HP Smart app is updated to the latest version:
- iOS: Visit the App Store.
- Android: Visit the Google Play Store.
- Windows: Open the Microsoft Store.
Restart the Device
- Restart the device where the HP Smart app is installed (phone, tablet, or PC) to clear any temporary cache issues.
Check HP Services
- Verify whether HP's services are experiencing downtime:
- Visit the HP Support website.
- Check for any alerts or service issues related to HP Mobile Fax.
Reinstall the HP Smart App
- Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your device. This can resolve issues caused by corrupted app data.
Verify Region Settings
- Ensure your device's region and time settings match the country where the HP Mobile Fax service is supported.
- For Windows:
- Open Settings > Time & Language.
- Ensure the region is set correctly and the time is synced.

Use an Alternate Network
- Try accessing the Mobile Fax feature on a different network (e.g., a friend's Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot).
Log Out and Back In
- Log out of your HP account in the HP Smart app, then log back in. This can refresh the connection to HP's servers.
Check Firewall or VPN Settings
- Ensure no firewall, antivirus software, or VPN is blocking the app from connecting to HP's servers.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
