The new "upgrade" of the HP smart app has been a major downgrade. I can no longer do anything with it except print from my Macbook Pro. WHY IS that??? I can't even print off of it. I can't use the printer through my mobile app from my iPhone anymore. What's the point then? My printer then is no longer able to do what it was meant to do!!!!

 

I want all that functionality back. This sucks big time.

 

Update: I actually did "find" options. But not all are available anymore. Very little. And what IS available,  is no longer so easy to access or obviously accessible. Stupid design!!!

Update: I always did photo scan and sent it to email. Now, all we can do is send to an actual fax number. That is not how i work or how most people work these days. No I no longer can use my HP Smart app. It is no longer of any use to me! And probably a lot of other either people. Very stupid move.

Latest Update: love the lack of explanations. The only way that all options appear is if the printer is connected to the app.

Verify Compatibility: Ensure your printer model, such as the Tango X, is compatible with the current version of the HP Smart app.

 

Restore Default Settings: Sometimes resetting the printer to its default settings can resolve connectivity issues. You can find instructions for resetting your printer at HP Customer Support.

 

Check Network Connections: Make sure your printer and devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You may need to check the network settings on your printer.

So if I'm away from home and thus I'm not on my home wifi, I can no longer use the app to camera scan and pdf documents to myself?! That's wild and SO unhelpful. I used to use this all the time for schoolwork, and without notice you just eliminated it. I'm very, very disappointed.

major downgrade by HP. So now functionality deficiencies are following the significant upward trend I. The price of ink cartridges, it’s time to investigate a new camera scanner for iOS / iPhone at least and probably also a new printer!!
