Product: HP OfficeJet 5260 All-in-One Printer

The printer and my PC are connected to the same network. HP Smart shows status of ready. I used the troubleshooter and it detected something that required me to restart my PC, but after that still doesn't work. Message is "Couldn't Connect to Scanner".  Any suggestions welcome. It really shouldn't be this hard.
