We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I've managed to solve the issue of the printer constantly being "offline" by creating a cloud account and logging in (not that I'm happy with all my document going through cloud....) but now when I click on scan, i get the scanning page but a little circle goes round and round by the Resolution dropdown and greys out all the buttons. I left it for a while and after 30 mins its still there and I can't scan.

 

Help?!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues scanning.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

Are you using HP Easy Scan or Image Capture?

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the printer firmware following the steps in the below article and check if it helps.

Hi - apologies for the delay in responding to your message.

 

Im using the HP smart app for my mac. I havent had any problems over the last year untl the last few weeks. Have managed to work out how to get the printer  to show online now by logging in, but when I select the Scan option, the screen opens but theres a little spinning cicle next to Resoltion which never goes away and wont let me go any further. Hopefully you can see the image of the screen below.

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

 

Step 1: Update the mac to the latest version.

 

Click on Apple Icon>> Click on About this Mac> Click Software Update to get the latest available update.

 

Step 2: Uninstall HP Easy Start

 

  • Click on Spotlight icon and type HP Uninstaller or by opening HP Easy Start.
  • Click on Continue to uninstall the software.
  • When prompted for Password, type in your system password
  • You can also uninstall by opening HP Easy Start.

 

 

 

Step 3: Download HP Easy Start and Install the printer.

 

  • Go to Software and Driver download page on hp.com.
  • Type in your printer model no.
  • Download HP Easy Start and follow the on screen to complete the installation.

 

Note:  If required the package can be downloaded through HP Easy Admin(https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06164609)

I'm already running the latest version on my mac.

 

Im not using HP Easy Start - I dont even know what this is. I'm running HP Smart for Desktop which is the only app I can find for macs. I tried using the easy admin link you sent, but it tells me it cant find any software for my printer.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled HP Smart several times to no avail.

Yes - I can copy and I can print with no issues at all. Its only the scanning thats not working.
