HP ScanJet Pro N4000 snw1 Sheet-feed Scanner

Hello,

I can't save multiple scanned pages as one PDF file on my macbook macOS 15.0.1 Sequoia with HP Easy scan. When i try, there is an error message saying:

Capture d’écran 2024-10-14 à 12.46.23.png

Unable to save scanned items.
Failed to save the scanned items to the requested location.
Please verify that this location exists, that
there is sufficient disk space to hold your files,
and that you own the rights to save the files in this location.

Please can you help me to fix it ?

Hi @roro125

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering a common issue with HP Easy Scan on your Mac. Here are several steps to help resolve the problem and save multiple scanned pages as one PDF:

1. Check Save Location:

  • Make sure the location you're trying to save the scanned PDF to actually exists. You can try saving it to a different folder, such as your Desktop or Documents.

2. Disk Space:

  • Verify that you have enough free disk space on your Mac. If your disk is nearly full, it may prevent you from saving files.

3. Permissions:

  • Ensure that you have the necessary permissions for the folder you're trying to save to. You can check this by:
    • Right-clicking the folder, selecting Get Info, and looking at the Sharing & Permissions section. Make sure your user account has Read & Write access.

4. Update HP Easy Scan:

  • Ensure that you are using the latest version of HP Easy Scan. You can check for updates in the App Store.

5. Scan Settings:

  • When using HP Easy Scan, ensure that you're selecting the option to save multiple pages as a single PDF. Look for a setting that indicates "Combine into one PDF" or similar when scanning.

6. Restart HP Easy Scan:

  • Close the HP Easy Scan application completely and reopen it. Try scanning again to see if the issue persists.

7. Test with Another Application:

  • If the problem continues, try scanning using a different application, such as Preview:
    • Open Preview, go to File > Import from Scanner, and see if you can save as a PDF.

8. Restart Your Mac:

  • Sometimes, simply restarting your Mac can resolve temporary glitches.

9. Reinstall HP Easy Scan:

  • If none of the above solutions work, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling HP Easy Scan.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Still doesn't work and there is no update.
The HP Easy Strat software cannot find the driver optimized for macOS Sequoia 15.0.1, and when I use older driver, the same message appears.

Why there is no update of HP softwares and drivers for macOS users ???
