Hi. I have an HP Laserjet Pro MFP M426fdw connected to a router. I also have 2 desktop computers with Windows 10 Home connected to the same router. I was using scan-to-network from the M426fdw to both computers without any problem until I reinstalled Windows on one of the computers to a higher version, Windows 10 1903. Scan to network still works fine with the computer that I didn't change anything, but it stopped working to the computer that I reinstalled Windows 10. After reinstalling Windows 10, I think I configured everything the same way as before. I searched about this issue and tried various things suggested, but I still can't get scan-to-network to work with the computer with the new Windows 10 1903. Following is the setup in the computer. Please let me know if you have suggestions. Thank you.
- Both desktop computers have static IP
- The scan folders in both computers are shared with read/write. From each computer's File Explorer under Network, I can see and access the other computer's scan folder.
- I enabled all 3 SMB 1.0/ CIFS

I have run into a couple of instances where the only way to get the scanning to work was to look at the taskmanager and confirm the actual user name that Windows thought was logged in which was different from what the user thought their user name was. Also in some cases the credentials needed to be entered as "computername\username"
I am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users, I do not work for HP nor speak for HP.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Just like you said, in the taskmanager the user name was still the old one that I changed. I also noticed that in C:\Users folder, there is a folder named after the old user name, but not folder with the new user name. So, I used the old user name and current password, and now the scan to network folder works! Thank you!
I tried updating the user name again, but now the first old user name is still in the taskmanager with no processes under. The new user name still doesn't show in the taskmanager. Now I'm trying to find out if there is a way to have the new user name applied throughout the system. Thank you again!
