Product: officejet pro 9025
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to set up digital fax in the advanced setting in HP Smart App for windows 10.   Every time I try it says incorrect credentials, but my email & password are correct?   I did change my password a month ago, so how do I know if the printer has my correct password embedded in its system?  thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi,

What email service do you use? it may relies on the security settings of your email account, which may not being supported for the printer and therefore rejected.

It is the same service I have always had & I used my old password and it says it was successful to save digital faxes but it is still not saving the faxes in the folder I have set up for it.   Use to work no problem before the HP Smart App, the old software was great & had no problems, but since HP Smart app can't get that to work & other functions on the advanced settings.

Is it g mail? yahoo? any other specific service provider?

 

HP Smart does not change any such setup, it is only a configuration option..

It is Outlook mail & I did get the email to work finally, but when I get a fax it still is not going to the network folder I have set up.   I did not have this problem when I have the HP full version on my PC, but now that HP Smart is on it I can't get the full version on my PC again.  It crashed a few months ago & had to put HP Smart on it.   

 

When I set up digital fax it says Congratulations you have successfully set up Digital fax, but when I get a fax it doesn't save it in that folder.   I wish HP would bring back to full version again.   I know it is still there to download & I have downloaded it multiple times but in the end of the download I end up with HP Smart.   Please fix this .   thanks

The full feature software is available, you may install the latest Full Feature Software by following below installation wizard:

Following the software installation completion, you may access the HP Printer Assistant software by clicking the HP Officejet Pro 9020 printer.

 

For the Digital Fax wizard, if you experience any similar issue, would you like to set up faxing to email or a network folder? by your email address do you refer to your Microsoft Login email ID?

I do have msn login ID that is what I am using.

 

I downloaded the software & it just took me to HP Smart app???   I have no Icon printer to click on like I use to?   Can you tell me where this download went & why it is still going to HP Smart app?  

 

On digital fax I do have a network folder set up to put faxes in & it says everything is ok, but no faxes in the file??  I have tried to set up to go into email instead & I get this message:  Network error. Check the printer's network connection and try again.

So not sure why I am getting this message since my printer is installed & working, no problem on that end.   thanks
