HP scan3 can not be opened. It states: check with the developer make sure it works with this version

Hi! I can not scan from my printer to my Mac. I guess it is because I updated my Mac. Now my  HPscan3 can not be opened. It states: check with the developer to make sure it works with this version of MacOS. (My version is macOS Big Sur Version 11.0.1)You may need to reinstall the application. Make sure you install any available updates. (but I do not see updates on my computer)

Could you help? Maybe I need another HP scan , since I updated my Mac to version macOS 11.0.1

  • Are you trying to scan from the printer screen using 'scan to computer' option?
  • Have you tried scanning from the MAC and check if that works?
  • Are you able to print? By this, we can confirm the connectivity between the devices.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
