Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had this HP LasetJet printer for years and it does a good job of printing from the computer.

I have a problem with the ADF not acknowledging that I have inserted 10 pages into the feeder.

By looking at some videos, I found out that the little white gear on the back side of the ADF is not turning.

So, I'm not sure if it's the gear assembly or one of the FFC's, and then if it is an FCC, how do I know which one controls the white gears? And how to order a new one? Part numbers?

How do I take apart the ADF to even get to it?

How do I fix this? Does anybody have an actual repair manual that has step-by-step instructions? Or a video?

I sure wish that this was easier... Thanks for any help!

HP Recommended

It's the FFC connecting ADF to the mainboard, you need to completely remove and disassemble the scanner to replace that FFC.
