HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,   First time for me on here.

When I scan to email from my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium.    Everything acts as though it is working  - however the text that I type in the body of the email does NOT get sent.   There are no error messages.    The receiver gets the email, the pdf attachment but Nothing in the body of the email ( just blank ).

Using Windows 7 pro,   office 365, Outlook,  the latest 8600 drivers and software from HP website,  connected via USB.

Thank you in advance for your help

Darrell

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Flower_Bud is at your service.

As I understand, a receiver does not get the text when you perform a scan to email,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Are your other emails working fine?

How are you performing a scan to email (From printer Control Panel or Printer Software)?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps to isolate the issue:

Please send an email to your other email and check if the same happens,

Let me know how this goes,

Cheers!

Flower_Bud,   Thank you for responding.    I found a solution after reading thru other forums in regards to the same problem.  In  Outlook, I have 2 Accounts / Emails.   For whatever reason, the defaults I had set on the Data Files and the Email Account were not the same.     Account1 was set as the default  but  Data File 2 was the corresponding default.   Once I set  Account 1 to default AND Data File 1  to default  -  it all worked fine.

Again - thank you for responding.
