I have a relatively new HP9015e and am having trouble getting documents to scan from the feeder versus the flatbed. If I use the scan, scan to computer option, the document feeder does not feed, it scans from the flatbed. If I use HP Smart, I can make it feed from the document feeder, but this is inconvenient. I'd like to to always feed from the feeder if there is a document loaded. My previous HP printers always did this.
I must say the "smarter" these printers are getting the harder they are to use. I don't want to have to use an app or PC just to get the document feeder to work...
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
You would need to install the HP Full Feature Software option and enable Scan to Computer, for a Windows PC please follow below installation to install the printer software:
Open the HP Officejet Pro 9010 software, select Scan and click on Manage Scan to Computer.
Ensure the feature is enabled and locate the instance name listed on its top.
Be sure to select Scan > Computer and the exact computer name which represents the printer software, not the WSD options which appears as Save to Computer Name, etc.
