I recently purchased my printer/fax.  Loving the printer, but i do not need the fax line.

How do I turn off the fax ringing in the background?   I've tried many different ways.

Please help and thank you.

I find one method to control the fax ring volume.

User Guide > Change Fax Settings > Set the fax sound volume - Page 51

  1. From the printer control panel display, touch Fax .
  2. Touch Setup , and then touch Preferences .
  3. Touch Volume.
  4. Touch to select Soft, Loud, or Off .

You may also access this feature by pressing (the Fax Status button) on the Home screen.
