How can you resize and copy or scan legal to letter size on hp envy 6400e series printer?

I'm unable to find any information online regarding how to resize from legal to letter, would anyone know?

Legal size: 216 x 356 mm: 8.5 x 14 inches

 

According to what I can find, the printer does not accommodate Copy or Scan at size Legal.

 

"Does not support" does not mean the task is impossible, just that the only way to scan content larger than supported is to scan the longer paper in sections and then combine the pieces afterwards.  

 

True - Scanning in pieces can be a poor choice for legal documents, "section" scanning is a lot of work, and the results might be fair or might be poor.
