Hi @RitaandDan,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
To change the scan settings on your HP DeskJet 4152e All-In-One Printer to scan documents in JPEG format instead of PDF, you can follow these steps:
Load the Document: Place the document you want to scan face down on the scanner glass or face up in the document feeder.
Open HP Smart: Open the HP Smart app on your computer.
Select Scan: Click on the "Scan" option in the HP Smart app.
Choose Scan Settings: In the scan settings, look for an option to change the file format. It may be labeled as "File Type" or something similar. Select JPEG as the file format.
Adjust Other Settings: You can also adjust other settings such as resolution, color mode, and quality to your preference.
Scan the Document: Click on the "Scan" button to scan the document in JPEG format.
If the HP Smart app does not have the option to change the file format to JPEG, you may need to use the scanning software that came with your printer. Look for the scanning software on your computer and use it to scan the document in JPEG format.
If you're still unable to change the scan settings, this may need one-on-one interaction with phone support who will help you via remote assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
