I have saved an image that I have cropped with the intention of using it to create a stencil. However, after I printed the image out, it is not large enough. I cannot figure out how to enlarge it. I tried scanning it, but there is no option in HP Smart to increase/decrease other than the paper size. I made it as large as I can in my photoshop, but even when I select 8x10 paper size, normal fill and fill the page, IT ISN'T FILLING THE PAGE. someone please help me!? Thnk You!

Welcome to the HP English Community --
- There is no "fill page" / borderless option for this DeskJet printer
- The bottom margin minimum = 12.7 mm
- If not done, install the full driver printer software
- Use an appropriate application or software that can print at "scale" size(s). For example, use Adobe Reader to print at any scale / size you want, including Poster.
=====================================
Printer - Margins
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Important
DeskJet printers do not support Borderless
and
DeskJet printers require a larger margin along the bottom edge of the paper.
These limitations impact how content is printed on paper.
This DeskJet printer requires a larger margin along the bottom edge (1/2 inch).
Borderless Printing | No |
Print Margin Bottom (A4) | 12.7 mm |
Print Margin Left (A4) | 3 mm |
Print Margin Right (A4) | 3 mm |
Print Margin Top (A4) | 3 mm |
There is no software, firmware, or alignment that changes the larger margin requirement.
The solution to "chopped off" is to keep all data inside of 1/2 inch / 12.7mm on the bottom edge.
This limitation includes all text, images, page numbers, footer information, cells, tables, lines, other notations, and all file types, too.
Create your original document with 12.7mm ( 1/2 inch ) margins.
=====================================
Printer Software
If you have not yet done so, install the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software.
HP Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software - supports printing and scanning from the web, printing in in other software and programs (for example, Word), and provides access to the full range of Printing Preferences / Shortcuts. The full driver generally adds at one, possibly least one, possibly two shortcuts to the Desktop: Printer Assistant, HP Scan Assistant, and/or HP Scan.
NOTES:
HP Scan is not installed if the printer does not support Scan.
The Printer Assistant is not installed if the type of full driver software does not support it.
If the printer model includes built-in Fax hardware, Fax software is installed to support the setup and use of the Fax driver.
No Sign-in required to use full driver printer software.
Reinstalling?
- Uninstall existing full driver printer software from Programs and Features.
Reference: Uninstall HP printer software and drivers / HP Smart
- If your printer software includes a separate "Help" segment in Programs and Features, uninstall that, too.
- Restart the computer and log in.
- If the printer is connected to the computer using a printer USB cable, remove / disconnect the cable before loading the software.
>>> Full Feature Software - Web Pack Installation Webpage - Information - Download / Save / (then) Install <<<
HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software – Offline Use Only
In general, the web pack should load -
Download package > Save > Right-Click on the installation Package > Run as Administrator
If / When asked, opt for the Full Driver / Full Software to be installed.
Using USB? (Re)Connect when instructed to do so.
After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in.

The installation of the full driver generally adds at least one or more shortcuts to the Desktop.
Note: Printer Assistant, HP Scan Assistant, and HP Scan are dependent on printer model and supported software options.
- Printer Assistant – Where still supported as part of the full driver printer software
- HP Scan – Shortcut on Desktop named for the printer model
OR
- HP Scan Assistant – For those printers that no longer provide the Printer Assistant
- HP Scan - Shortcut named for itself
AND / OR
- When installed, HP Universal Scan software adds a separate self-named “HP Scan” shortcut
- NOTE >> If you install the full driver printer software, installing HP Universal Scan as a standalone software from category Software & Drivers is not necessary. The system will allow you to install both.
Printer Assistant shortcut > Tab Scan > Manage Scan to Computer > Enable
Or
HP Scan Assistant shortcut > Manage Scan to Computer > Enable
Example - Desktop Shortcuts
Printer_Assistant_Scan_Assistant_Shortcut_Icons_on_Desktop_9
Example - Programs and Features - Installed Printer Software

Dragon-Fur,
I truly appreciate you taking the time to explain to me (in great detail) what you clearly explained, but it was Japanese to his ONLY English-speaking chic. I know nothing about drivers, installing anything, other than your basic NON-IT-LITERATE Joe-blow on the street.
My solution to this current issue, my justification being it isn't the first time I have had this problem, and therefore, I know it won't be the last, either, is to just buy a new printer that has pre-installed capabilities that the current one I own does not.
The warranty is up on this one, as well as the Free Ink that came with it. So, WIN-WIN for me.
LOL
Again, thank you for trying to educate me, but it fell on deaf ears and as soon as I started reading your email, my head started to spin and I got a bit dizzy. (No, I am not a blonde).
Take care,

You are welcome.
I get it and you might be more the norm than am I - "tech-speek" is not everyone's first language.
Smiling.
Yes, in my opinion, purchasing a higher-end printer that includes the sorts of features you want is the best solution.
Know that printers are one of the purchases where you get what you pay for.
That just means that if / when you replace the DeskJet printer, you will likely want more than an economy printer to get the features that support the type of printing you want to do.
The features you want are available -- ask questions and check the specifications.
Should you need help, the representatives at the HP Store are available to help you decide which is the right printer for your needs.
