Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP Photosmart D110 Series
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I used to scan documents to my computer the Solution Center would ask if I wanted to use monthly folders to store my scans in.  Now it automatically uses monthly folders to store my scans in.  How do I stop making it do that?  I just want it to store my scanned documents in My Documents/ My Scans folder and not in a monthly folders?

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you want to change the default folder to save the scanned documents.

Use the Destination setting in HP Scan to set the Save To Folder location on your computer.

  1. Search Windows for HP, and then select your printer.

    HP Printer Assistant opens.

  2. Click Scan, and then click Scan a Document or Photo.

    HP Scan opens.

  3. Select a shortcut, and then click Advanced Settings or More.

  4. Click Destination, and then click Browse.

  5. Select the folder in the Browse for Folder window, and then click OK.

  6. Click OK or the Save icon  in the shortcut.

  7. Repeat these steps for each scan shortcut.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your help, Sandytechy20.  the instructions you gave are a little different than my setup.  I have the HP Solution Center Icon that I click on when I want to scan something.  Then I click on the scan document button and that brings up the "scan shortcut" window.  I normally used the default "document to PDF File button, which would then open up the "safe to file options" where I would uncheck the "use monthly sub-folder" option.  Somehow I must have accidently gone into the "scan button settings and inadvertantly unchecked the "prompt for settings at time of the scan" and that made it automatically send the scan into a monthly folder.

However I was able to make a scan shortcut per your instructions.  Now when I click on the "scan document" button it brings up the scan shortcuts window and I choose the shortcut I created and it send the scanned file to the "my scans" folder like I wanted.

Thanks again for your help.
