Hi @Tennymom,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to scan a document with your HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer using your Windows 10 computer, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the HP Smart App

  1. Download and Install HP Smart:
  2. Open HP Smart:
    • Launch the app and ensure your printer is added. If not, click the "+" sign to add your printer.
  3. Select Scan:
    • On the HP Smart home screen, click the Scan option.
    • Place your document on the scanner glass or in the automatic document feeder (ADF), if available.
  4. Adjust Scan Settings:
    • Configure the scan type, resolution, and file format if needed.
  5. Start Scanning:
    • Click Scan to start the process.
  6. Save or Share:
    • After scanning, save the document to your computer or share it via email or cloud services.

Method 2: Using Windows Scan App

  1. Open the Windows Scan App:
  2. Select Your Printer:
    • Ensure your HP ENVY 5660 is selected as the scanner.
  3. Choose Scan Settings:
    • Set preferences like file type (PDF, JPEG, etc.) and resolution.
  4. Scan Your Document:
    • Place the document on the scanner and click Scan.

Method 3: Using HP Printer Assistant

  1. Open HP Printer Assistant:
    • Search for HP Printer Assistant in the Windows Start menu and open it.
  2. Go to Scan Section:
    • Click Scan a Document or Photo.
  3. Configure Settings:
    • Select the scan type and adjust settings as needed.
  4. Scan and Save:
    • Click Scan, then save the document

If you still can't see the scan button:

  • Check for Software Issues: Uninstall and reinstall the HP printer software from the HP Support website.
  • Ensure Printer Connectivity: Verify that the printer is connected to your computer via USB or on the same WiFi network.
  • Update Drivers: Run Windows Update and install the latest HP printer drivers.

Let me know if you need more assistance!
