Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to scan old photos using my Office jet Pro 87715.  The touchscreen doesn't offer "photos" in the "SCAN" page nor does the app.  If I give up and scan to a PDF, it creates a file that's a letter sized sheet (8.5" x 11"), not the size of the photo (4"x6").  I've tried searching for a 'trick' to circumvent the pre-programming but none apply to this model.  All help appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8710-all-in-one-printer-...
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

 

This example shows you how to scan multiple photos (JPEG) with the HP FULL software.
