I just bought this printer last night. I am trying to use the document feeder to scan but it says I need to set it up. It tells me to go hp smart, I did, no help

@ren11, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Are you trying to scan from the printer screen or the computer screen?

To know how to scan using the HP Smart app, refer to this document.

 

If you want to use the 'scan to computer' option on the printer screen, click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Open the HP Printer Assistant > go to Scan > Manage Scan to computer > Enable
