I don’t understand where or how to find my fax number

If this is your printer:

HP ENVY 5540 All-in-One Printer series

Then it does not support FAX as a feature of the printer.

Faxing:  No

 

 

 

For those reading:

 

If the fax number to which you refer is the number you would normally use to receive a fax, then unless you have a separate fax line (and you would certainly know if you did since these are not free) - your fax number is normally your landline phone number. Note that this is relevant to printers that include the "fax" feature; the actual details might vary for newer printers that might support other than a landline phone to support fax.

 

 

For those printers that do support Fax, the full information to set up the feature is included in the User Guide for the printer.

 

 

eFax, that is "electronic fax" that does not use a fax machine, might be available in your community.  Use your favorite browser to search for information.  Read the "fine print" before you sign up to make sure your fax data is kept private.
