Using HP Smart, the scan feature shows a blank A4 page, and although I can scan the document under the lid and send it to computer, the preview function bottom left is greyed out. I would always like to see a preview first and wonder if there is a way to fix this? Also am I correct in thinking the HP Smart app does not copy and print a document placed under the lid?

Hi,
HP Smart only provide a scan preeview while scanning from the Glass, not from the top feeder.
Either change the mode from Document to Photo or press the Settings button and change the source to Glass.
I believe this information fully clarifies both of your questions ;).

copying and printout of a document on the glass - do you refer to using the copy feature and only get a printed copy of a document placed on the glass?
HP Smart provide computer related tasks such as printing or sanning, Copy must be done from the printer front panel itself, not from the computer..
Hope I fully understood your intention, otherwise please let me know.

Yes, I place a document face down on the glass and want a copy of it printed out. I could just press the Copy touch button on the printer itself of course, but on the HP Smart computer program I see no way of doing this as it wants to copy only from the computer, ie it offers print scan, print photo or document only from computer and not from the glass . I just wondered why Copy was not offered as an option in HP Smart remote.

Hi,
As mentioned, HP Smart provide computer related tasks only.
Copy is a stand-alone feature of the printer, not related to the computer..
You can launch such a task from the printer screen only, not from any HP Software such as HP Smart or the HP Full Feature Software..

Yes that answesrs the question; however, HP really dropped the ball by removing this feature from the document feeder. Who wants to seat around scanning multiple pages from a glass? The way it used to work in hp scan was much smarter _ unfortunately, it is not
Workimg well with wireless devices. What gives?
