How to Scan Multiple Pages into 1 PDF (M277dw)

I just bought the printer a couple of weeks ago and I can't figure out how to scan multiple pages into a single PDF file - without using the document feeder. 

I tried some of the links that might have answered this questions, but they turned out to be dead links.

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks for accessing the HP Support Forums for extra support! I see that you would like to be able to scan multiple documents into one file. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.

From the HP Scan software, select Advanced Settings, click on the File tab and uncheck 'Create a separate file for each scanned image'. This will allow multiple page scans to save to one file.

On the scan software that was installed with the M277dw there is no Advanced Settings option. Here's is a screen grab of my options. Clicking on them "More" link also does not bring up an Advanced Settings option.

Looks like they changed the location with this new software. Thanks for providing the screen shot.

After clicking on the PDF or JPEG on the left side of the window, click the plus sign beside the PDF or JPEG setting on the right side of the window. Make sure 'Separate file for each scanned page' isn't checked.

This should resolve this issue.

Hi I experienced the same scenario like other users and my format is totally diffrent. From the file type lists no PDF option is added. Only BMP (bitmap image), JPG (JPEG image), PNG (PNG image), TIF (TIFF image). I wish I could add a screenshot here. Whether i choose the Feeder or the Flatbed. Only these options are added.

Please try this scan solution:

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi   For Windows.

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Thank you for sharing me that information, however, can you tell me how I can change the Scanner to use as I cannot see an option to change it. I have 2 printers and after I installed and run the program it was automatically set to my first printer which is the HP Officejet 7500 E910 and not the Laserjet MFP M277dw. So I thought I have to make the second printer as my default which is the M277dw but after changing it as my default printer and I opened the program, still it is default on the first printer which is the 7500 E910. Please tell me how to change it. Thank you.

Is there someone who could help me with this. I'm going nuts about this. Lol. It looks easy but I really can't find a way how to search the other printer after I downloaded the HP Scan Extended but the default printer was the old printer instead of the new once which id the Laserjet MFP M277dw.

Does the NAPS2 scanner software show 2 printers????
