No, it doesn't show 2 printers or atleast given an option to select which printer/scanner to use. The default scanner is the old one. So I thought since the default printer was the old one, so I change it to the new one but still it didnt change

Scanning issues…
Please try this scan solution:
HP Scan Extended
For Windows: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options.

this did not help me as I do not see a + sign on the right side of the screen.
i was so excited when i got this printer. Color..dual sided..laser jet. I have had nothing but problems with it...crooked scans, not being able to load the software, not being able to use help due to incorrect information. I am so disappointed.

I thought this would go with the thing i responded to. But it put it at the end of the thread.
i have the same software as the guy who put the screenshot and the response was to click on the pdf on the left side and hten on the plus sign on the right side and make sure that 'scan to multiple files' isn't checked.
1) there is no plus sign on the right side...look at the screenshot that the guy attached.
2) there is no field aobut scanning to multiple files .
I need to scan a multiple page document to ONE file. And it seems there is no way to do this.
I shopped for this printer for years. and now i have nothign but problems..and i have only had it 3 days!

Had the same necessity and problems trying to scan multiple pages to a single PDF file.
Both sides are right, to a point.
Click "Save as PDF" on the left side then and click "More on the Right side.
Set any settigs you wish to change in the Scan, Image, and Document settings.
With the "Destination" option selected (the bottom option), click the File Type.
This will open the File Type options.
The checkbox with the "Separate file for each scanned page" option will NOW be visible.
Clicking Ok at this point will begin the scanning session.

Hi,
I tried what you suggested and I still can't find it. There's no option for "Separate file for each scanned page" anywhere on this screen. See screen shot. Help. I'd like to scan multiple pages on the flatbed and combine into one pdf. Thanks!
