Hi @monica1-2_,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect your HP Officejet 4630 printer to scan documents to your computer, you'll need to follow these steps.
Install HP Software: Ensure that the full feature software and drivers for your HP Officejet 4630 are installed on your computer. You can download the software from the HP support website if you haven't done so already.
Connect Printer to Network: Make sure your printer is connected to the same wireless network as your computer. This is necessary for scanning over the network.
Configure Scan to Computer (Windows):
- Open the HP Printer Assistant software on your computer. If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the HP website.
- Go to Scan, then select Scan to Computer Setup.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enable the scan to computer feature.
Configure Scan to Computer (Mac):
- On your Mac, open System Preferences and click on Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP Officejet 4630 from the list on the left.
- Click on Open Scanner or Scan. This will open the HP Easy Scan application.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to set up the scan options and preferences.
Test Scanning: Place a document or photo on the scanner glass of your HP Officejet 4630.
- From your computer, initiate a scan using either the HP Printer Assistant (Windows) or HP Easy Scan (Mac).
- Select the scanning options such as document type, resolution, and destination (computer).
- Once configured, click on Scan to start scanning the document.
These steps should help you connect your HP Officejet 4630 to your computer for scanning.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
