Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have officejet 4650 and installed HP Smart on my win10 laptop. When i click on the scan option on the printer, it  shows no computer found. Then shows for Window, go to scanner actions-> manager scan to computer. I don't find that setting in HP Smart. I can use HP Smart to scan the file but I want to set it in printer so that I can scan the file right away on the printer itself.

@Ruilin, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Try scanning from the Hp Smart app and check if that works.

I understand you are trying to scan from the printer screen using the 'scan to computer' option. This requires a full-feature printer driver to be installed on the computer.

Check if you have one installed. If not, click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Open the HP Printer Assistant > Go to Scan > Manage Scan to computer > Enable

Try scanning.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
