@J9McD, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

To copy both sides of an ID card on your HP ENVY Inspire, place the front side of the ID card on the scanner glass. Use the printer’s control panel to select the Copy option and then choose the 2-sided Copy or ID Copy feature.

The printer will prompt you to scan the second side after the first one. If using the HP Smart app on your iPhone or iPad, open the app, select Copy, and follow the prompts to scan both sides of the ID card.

Also, you may refer to this guide: Make copies with an HP printer | HP® Support

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
