I just got a new HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e, and I am having a challenge in scanning long documents. I cannot figure out how to have it scan the whole document at once, for instance if there are 20 pages. I am using the HP Smart app Scan function. Regardless of how many pages are in the document feeder, it will only scan one page at a time. So it seems I need to keep clicking Add 20 times so that it will scan all 20 pages. How can I change the setting so that it will scan all pages in the feeder at once?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that you want to scan multiple copies, I am glad to assist you.
Save multiple pages or photos into one PDF file using HP Scan. You must have Adobe Reader software installed on the computer. Go to Get Adobe Reader to install the software.
NOTE:HP Scan does not support adding multiple JPEG, PNG, or TIFF photos into a single file. You must save photos in PDF format to save them all in one file.
-
Check the following requirements for multi-page scanning into one PDF file:
-
To save multiple photos into one file, you must use the PDF document-related shortcuts.

-
In HP Scan, select the Save as PDF or Document to File shortcut.
-
If , click Save. All pages save into a single file.scanned multiple pages from the ADFyou
-
If you scanned from the scanner glass, load the next page or photo on the glass. Click the plus button
or
in the HP Scan preview window to scan the next item. Repeat this step until all pages or photos are scanned, and then click Save.
-
-
Select PDF in the Save as type menu.

Change the file name and the folder you want to save the scan to, and then click Save.

Hi there,
I understand how to scan multiple pages as you have described. My question is regarding the document feeder. On my old printer, if I put 10 pages into the document feeder and select to scan them, it would automatically scan all 10 pages. On my new HP printer, it appears that I have to sit there and click the plus button again for each page, wait for it to scan, and then click plus again for the next page. This means I am stuck doing nothing but tending to my scanner, which seems like a waste of time. Is there a way to have it scan all 10 pages from the document feeder without clicking plus 10 times?
Thank you!
Lisa
