Use PartSurfer to determine the part number. If listed, the part can either be purchased from HP (if available) OR use the part number to find the part in your region from your favorite online or retail store.
If you do not know your printer Product Number, use the name of the printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 6978) and check any product(s) that appear in the results page or use the product's serial number.
Open PartSurfer
- Select your Country
- Need Help? Tab Self help > find and open the User Guide and FAQ
Use Part Surfer:
- Enter your device Product Number , Serial Number, or Part Number in the Quick Search box
- HINT: To see a system-specific list, replace the Product Number with your device Serial Number
- Items accompanied by a tiny box in the Add-to-Cart column are available for purchase
Parts marked as available for purchase might be available from: HP Parts Store
OR
Use your search engine to find the part number at your favorite online store.
Example:
N/A means the part is not carried / offered for purchase by HP.

Hi,
Just adding, your printer have an internal power supply, meaning you may use any standard power cord, available for any nearby electric store (see the picture below as an example, the wall plug may vary for different countries but the other plug is a standard one worldwide)
