I have Win11. I've reset my printer to factory defaults. I've setup and shared folder with read/write access. My printer is on the same network as my Win11 PC. I have File and Print sharing turned in Win11 for Private Networks. I even tried turning on File and Print Sharing for Public networks.
Every time I try to test sharing I get an "Network error. Check the printer's network connection and try again." error. The path and password are correct.
How to make scan to folder work?!?

Welcome to the HP English Community --
Not sure, though I do still have an old example for my now retired 9025 that might be useful as a reference to recheck some of your EWS settings.
Stuff that might help (if not already tried) --
- Restart the computer and let it capture the printer in its current state - Presumably the IP address is the same.
- Use the printer's IP address in place of the host name in the Scan to Network profile.
- Recheck the destination folder permissions -- Even though nothing was changed, Temp and Shared folder permission settings can do weird things.
- If the Destination is in your OneDrive folder, check that folder to make sure folder and the items in the folder are "kept on the local" disk in addition to being stored in OneDrive. "Not local" files can behave oddly.
- Recheck that your printer is using SMB2 / 3 -- it might have tried to revert when you reset it.
Scan to Network Folder
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Scan > Scan to Network Folder > Network Folder Setup

I've re-started both my PC and printer many times. It doesn't help.
RE: Use the printer's IP address in place of the host name in the Scan to Network profile.
Uhm, there is no *printer* IP address; presumably you mean PC IP Address; I tried this and it doesn't help
I've re-done the folder permissions multiple times. It doesn't help.
It isn't a OneDrive Folder
RE: Recheck that your printer is using SMB2 / 3 -
How do I do this?

Okay I finally figured it out with 2 changes:
1. Changed my WiFi network config to be a Private Network. This enables/allows file sharing.
2. The login info needs to use my password and not my PIN. Since I always login with my PIN, I forgot about my actual password.

You are welcome.
Update / Edit
Good that it is now working.
Happy Scanning.
Previous Message - crossed with your conclusion.
Offered FYI -- It sounds like your experience and setup differ from my own.
My OfficeJet Pro 9025was retired this year -- My new printer's EWS is in a different format.
I will check -- If I run across any more of my old notes or examples for Network Folder and the 9025, I will update / edit this message.
Start...
Yes, the IP address might be used as shown in the example - use the destination's IP address in place of the host name.
For example,
If you are scanning to your computer, use the IP address for the computer in the Profile.
If you are scanning to a NAS, use the IP address for that device.
Partial Excerpt of the full example:
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Network > Advanced Settings > SMB
Select both SMBv2 / SMBv3
Click Apply to save any changes
