Envy 6032
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I have some book pages and some photos I wish to scan but want to enlarge (especially on the text) so that I can read & see details more clearly when looking at hard copy output.

How can this be done with HP Scan or other software for my Envy printer? On larger printers (i.e. in the office) it's built into the software, so there are menu buttons to for example magnify to 200% of original.

I tried adjusting to smaller Input dimensions and larger Output dimensions, but it seems to keep the item scanned at 100% of original yet places it on a mostly blank page. The easiest would be an adjustable scaling factor, but I can't find that. Am I just missing it, or is there some way top adjust, or scan a portion which will convert it to a larger full page with enlargement?

Hi

Spoiler
So if I understand, when you scan, you say to crop and then scale up during the printing process?

Yes, when the image is cropped, it is actually enlarging the area you want .

Spoiler
Can this be done with a scanned pdf as well, or only if scanned as image?

Yes, can crop any area needed and save as PDF or Jpeg.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

This resource might be useful:

It's on another printer but applicable to your question as the printer also does not have enlargements but HP Smart can be used.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the link.

The video does not show usage of any Scaling option in HP Smart during the printing. Does it automatically scale up if you crop to less than a page size? Otherwise, how to achieve the scaling? (The end printout is similar size of text to the scanned original, so it's hard to tell if its scaling automatically.)
