This printer series does not support direct Scan from the printer to Email (SMTP / Profile).

Scan and Email
Use an application of software designed to work with your device (computer, tablet, phone) --
Easier and supported by a multitude of devices and a minimum of setup:
- Scan the content
- Save the scanned content to your device
- Open your email > Attach the scanned content file > email to one or more recipients.
HP Smart sponsors "on the go" methods to scan and "share" (email) the scanned content.
How the job is configured (set up) depends on the device (computer, tablet, phone), a supported Operating System / version that supports the HP Smart application. Additional setup is required for Windows (for example).
HP Smart Shortcuts is supported on both PC and Mobile. A shortcut can be created to scan and then invoke a Shortcut to send the content to one of more recipients.
Windows (supported versions) and the full driver printer software includes HP Scan software. With the addition of a supported mail client software (Outlook), HP Scan can scan and then email that scanned content to one of more recipients.
