HP Smart does not have access to save scan content to the USB port on the printer.
HP Smart might save content then be directed to save the scanned data to a USB drive plugged into your computer.
If does not work, scan and save the content to your device / computer.
Copy the file(s) to a USB drive plugged into the port on your device / computer.
