I require the multiple document pages to be scanned in a single PDF file. Usually, one would find a Add Pages link to add more pages to be scanned to the same destination file. That link is not seen anywhere in the UI.

How to scan multiple pages to a single PDF file?

@GopalS,

Welcome to HP Support forums!

I see from your post you need assistance with scanning multiple pages to one PDF file. No worries, I'll be glad to assist you.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

What is the correct product number of your laserjet printer? Use this link to find it:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824  (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you recently made any changes before the issue started?

What app are you trying to scan from?

Have you tried windows scan and capture?

Please perform these steps correctly.

  • First, place a document on the flatbed and scan it.
  • Please do not save the file.
  • Instead, remove the scanned document, place the second page and click on the plus sign on the lower left corner to add to the already scanned image.
  • Then repeat the steps by placing subsequent pages and clicking on the plus sign.
  • The trick is to place the page and click on the plus sign on the lower left corner.
  • Then save the file by giving it a name. This should do the trick for you.

Please download  HP scan and capture from this link to scan

Please check this link on how to scan - How do I save multiple documents or photos as a single PDF? and it will display the plus sign on the lower left comer.

Could you please respond to this post with the details and with the results of the troubleshooting as this will help me in further assisting you.

Eagerly waiting for your response!

Hi,

From HP Scan, please also make sure the scan resolution is 300 DPI or lower and the Show Scan Preview option is checked, then the add button should appear below the scan preview..the option will not be listed with any higher resolution and that may explain why you cannot find it.
