Make sure you have 300 dpi set and the setting Seperate file for each scanned page unchecked.

Scanning issues…

Please try this scan solution:

HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options that available.  And there are a lot of them.

Make searchable PDFs scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/

NAPS2 also allows you to:

  1. Maximize and resize the scanning screen on your computer.
  2. Scan over 300 ppi/dpi from the Glass or ADF.
  3. Save multiple pages (over 300 ppi/dpi) to one PDF file.
  4. Provide scan resolutions of 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, 600, 800, 1200 dpi.

Hi, thanks for your response.  However, I have unchecked the "separate pages into multiple documents", it still did not work.
