How to send a fax from my computer with a HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All-in-one

My printer is set up on my wireless network, and I am able to send faxes using the document scanner on the printer with no problem. I cannot find out how to fax a PDF file on my computer, using the printer fax capability. What am I missing?

I have a similar problem. I just installed a new HP 9018 all in one printer with a wireless connection.  I try to fax a document from the computer and there is not a printer FAX option in the Print dialogue box.  I can send and receive a fax directly from the printer.  I can print a document from my computer to the printer.  But there is no printer fax option in the print dialogue box to fax a document from my computer..  I uninstalled the printer and the app and reinstalled.  Still no printer fax option in the print dialogue box, only the printer's print option.  Can anyone help with this issue? Thanks!

I suggest that you try the HP Universal Fax driver. I do not have a complete compatibility list in front of me but it does work with a range of ink and laser products

Hi Repairatrooper, I have a new HP Officejet Pro and Windows 10 laptop HP Envy (3 yrs old),  Windows update 2004.  I was having the same issue with no printer fax option in the printer dialogue box.  I tried everything, uninstallilng, reinstalling.  Nothing brought the fax option into the dialogue box.  I wonder why nothing worked?

I downloaded your suggested HP universal fax driver.  It works.  So thank you.  It doesn't seem to offer a fax log, or a contact list you can add fax numbers to and save.  I'll have to explore it more.  At least I can fax a document from my computer now!  Thanks!
