I tried to set the time using the front control panel on the printer.
I got the date set in OK, but not the time. There are 3 rows for the time.
I was able to click and got the hours and minutes OK on the top line, but on that line, the AM/PM section is blank.
I can't get it to put in the AM or PM regardless how much manuevering I do.
What am I not doing?

Hi! @ECKJR, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand you have issues setting the time on your printer.
Don't worry I'd like to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Please provide the printer model name to assist you better.
As you mentioned you are unable to change the time to AM/PM on the printer control panel.
Try the steps recommended below.
Write down the IP address of the printer
Type the IP of the printer into the address bar of your preferred browser (IE, Chrome, Firefox, etc)
Press Enter to access the EWS (embedded web server) for the printer
Select the Settings tab at the top
Click the checkbox at the bottom for "Use the same time zone set on this computer" and click Apply
HP Embedded Web Server, selected "settings", next "preferences", next "date & time", next checked the box " Sync with this computer's date and time settings".
Now the time should now match laptop's real time.
Also, from the printer control panel go to settings select preferences and turn off 24-hour format to get AM/PM on the printer control panel.
If the solution provided worked for you, please mark accepted solution for this post.

How do I get to the "Settings" on the printer control panel?
Right now, all that shows up on the home page is copy/scan/fax, and none of the icons below those is for settings.
When I scroll that page, it shows Setup and Help, neither of which gets me to Settings.

It looks like you were interacting with MrRobot, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out. I'm KrazyToad & I'm at your service.
The Settings Option is found on the EWS Page and not on the Printer itself
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address or print a Network Configuration Page
- Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- Press Enter to access the EWS (embedded web server) for the printer
- Select the Settings tab at the top
- Click the checkbox at the bottom for "Use the same time zone set on this computer" and click Apply
Thank you 🙂

Hondo has it down perfectly. Just scroll right on printer Control Window and Time and Date options appear magically! Thanks for simple non EWS solution. The IP address and EWS directions did not work for me ....but Hondo nailed it. Thanks
