Scanning directly to email can only be done via the software and only if you have a mail clieant such as MS Outlook installed and configured on your computer.
If you do have a such click Scan > Computer, then select your computer name.
Click Save as PDF and then select Send PDF as Email and follow the steps, which will launch a New Mail dialog with the scan attached on your PC.
If you do not have any mail client installed you will need to scan to your computer and then manually attach the scan to a new email.
