Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just need to know how I can print a document I faxed from my printer.  I saved the document but I can't find it.  It was 8 pages of scanned documents and some I had to find in my computer and attach.  Thanks.

Hi @DOWNTOWNJB1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To print a document that you previously faxed from your HP DeskJet 2680 All-in-One Printer, you'll need to locate the scanned file on your computer. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you find and print the document:

**1. Locate the Scanned Document

  • Scanned documents from your printer are typically saved in a default location set by the printer’s scanning software or application. Common default locations include:
    • Documents folder
    • Pictures folder
    • Scanned Documents folder (sometimes created automatically)
  • Open File Explorer (Windows key + E).
  • In the search bar at the top right, type keywords like *.pdf, *.jpg, or *.png to search for common file types used for scanned documents.
  • If you know the document’s name or part of it, use that in the search bar.
  • If you used specific scanning software (e.g., HP Smart), open that application and look for a history or recent scans section. This section may provide information on where the file was saved or offer an option to open it directly.

**2. Open and Review the Document

  • Once you find the document, double-click to open it. Ensure it is the correct file and contains all 8 pages.
  • Open the document in a viewer or editor (e.g., Adobe Acrobat for PDFs, Windows Photo Viewer for images).

**3. Print the Document

  • Open the file you want to print using the appropriate application (e.g., Adobe Acrobat for PDFs).
  • Go to File > Print or press Ctrl + P to open the print dialog.
  • Select your HP DeskJet 2680 as the printer.
  • Choose the desired print settings (e.g., number of copies, page range).
  • Click Print to start printing.

**4. Additional Tips

  • Ensure the settings in your scanner software are correctly configured to save documents in a known location. Adjust settings if necessary for future scans.
  • If you haven’t already, consider installing the HP Smart app for easier management of scanning and printing tasks. It can help you find, manage, and print documents more efficiently
  • Once you locate the document, you might want to create a shortcut or move it to a more accessible location for future reference.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Rachel571....Thanks so much.  That's exactly what I needed.  I really appreciate it.  When I typed in "copying sent faxes" in search bar in HP Support, I think that's where I was, nothing came up.  I thought that was weird.  But, I got it now so again, thanks.
