Hello community:

I had the scanner "HP ScanJet Pro N4000 snw1" installed via Ethernet cable with a static IP. When my PC starts, it shows the following message: "the hp imaging was not found."

I removed the driver and reinstalled it, using Ethernet cable, WiFi, or USB, same problem. It detects the first time, but after click to scan then the same message appears again.

 

Steps I have taken:

1. I stopped the WIA service, set it to automatic, and started it again.

2. Completely removed the drivers and reinstalled them.

3. Deleted temporary files.

4. Used Scan Doctor, but it didn’t find any issues.

5. Updated to the latest firmware.

 

I removed everything again and installed a new scanner :the ScanJet Pro 3000 series, which is USB only and completely new. I installed the drivers, but the problem happened again, so I know the scanners work.

 

Can someone give me an idea of what else I could look into? I’m sure something is causing a conflict in the system, but I haven’t been able to find it. Formatting the computer is not an option

What else do you recommend I check?

aditional: when was installed by wifi or Ethernet I can to see via web the scanner without problem, but if I need to scan I have the problem, sometimes reestart the pc and scanner and I can to scan without problem, sometimes
