I try ti open the app Hp from my smartphone to scanner a document but it appears "TO OPEN THE APP IS NECESSARY TO UPDATE THE OS". What does it mean? I have no request of update for my Android smartphone. Thanks

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

 

Not sure -- there are some places to look for hints about what is wrong.

 

For example,

 

Perhaps your phone is not running a supported version of Android OS to run HP Smart.

?

 

Consider adding or trying a different mobile print app - several are supported by the printer.

For example, Add / Install HP Print Service Plugin

Thanks a lor for your help. The problem is that the app sometime works and sometime not.... So I do not understand where is the problem with the app.... Have you any idea/solution?

I would guess the network is not stable or perhaps strong enough to maintain a consistent connection.

Keep in mind that this is simply a guess  -- the comment is not meant to diagnose your network.
