  • Update drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your HP printer. You can download them from the HP website or use the HP Smart app to check for updates.
  • Verify scanning software settings: Check the settings of your scanning software (such as HP Smart) to ensure that the correct scanner is selected and that it's set up properly.
  • Run Windows troubleshooter: Windows has built-in troubleshooters that can help identify and fix common issues. You can access them by typing "Troubleshoot" in the Windows search bar and selecting the relevant troubleshooter for scanning or printing.
  • Check for conflicts: Sometimes, other software or drivers can interfere with scanning functionality. Try disabling or uninstalling any recently installed software or drivers to see if that resolves the issue.
