I don't want to have to give a pin number every time I  scan to my email. Envy Photo 7858. Somehow this has just recently become a problem.

Welcome to HP support community.

You can disable the pin from printer EWS page.

You need printer IP address to login to printer EWS page:

  • From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, touch ( Setup ), touch Reports , and then touch Network configuration Page.
  • Search for the printer IP address and type it in the browser to open printer EWS page.

After opening EWS page, follow the below steps to disable the PIN:

  1. Click the System tab.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click the Administration link.

  3. In the Enabled Features area, set the Scan to Email option to On.

  4. Click the Scan tab.

  5. In the left navigation pane, click the Outgoing Email Profiles link.

  6. Remove PIN.

I hope that helps.
