My Hp 8610 will not receive fax automatically. How do I make this work.

I just had my system bundles with ATT. Having trouble receiving faxes automactically and sending fax. One reported stated does not receive blocked calls

 

It stated move the line to 1-line did this and could send fax but then both lines lite up

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

I understand that you are unable to receive the fax automatically on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer.

 

Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.

 

And here's the step by step guide for you listed below:

 

1. From the printer control panel display, touch and slide your finger across the screen and then touch Setup.

2. Touch Fax Setup, and then touch Basic Fax Setup.

3. Touch Auto Answer to turn it on.

 

If you have connected the phone on the same line, then the number of rings on the phone should be less than the number of rings to answer on the printer.

Auto answer is on but window pops up when phone rings saying: " accept/ignore, of course if I am not here to touch accept I do not get the fax
