We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I have HP Envy 5055 with wireless connection to Macbook Pro with OS Mojave. I use the HP Smart app on the computer. I can print. When I scan a document from the printer, I see the image of the document, the option to change the document name or change from pdf to jpeg, but when I try to save, the button is inactive. No error message, just no result. I tried turning everything off and restarting to no avail.

This could be an issue with the HP Smart application, try the steps below-

 

 Let's try removing HP Smart App and it's associated files from the Library folder:

1.) Open Finder and click Applications

2.) Move HP Smart App to Trash and clear the Trash.

3.) Open Finder then click Go and Click Home.

4.) Click View then Click Show View Options. Check the box Show Library Folder.

The change is instantaneous and the Library folder will immediately becomes visible.

5.) Open Library and Open Application Support, move HP Smart folder to Trash and clear the Trash

6.) Download and install the HP Smart App from here.

 

Also, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.
