Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Hp Easy Scan app in my MacBook Air does not show my printer to scan but I can air print from the my Mac. I deleted the printer and added again, also I installed he app and reinstalled back again still having the same problem. Is there any thing I need to do to get the job done?

I see that you are not able to scan from the Mac using the HP Easy Scan app.

How is the printer connected to the Mac?

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on Mac

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

 

Open the app, click on 'scanner' and check the drop-down list.

 

Use HP Smart app or Apple Image Capture app to scan and check if that works.

Thank you @ Mr Kumar0307  as per your suggestion I updated the software from the link which helped me solve the problem. Now I can scan and print with no any issues. It is really helpful for me which I had been trying to solve from so long.
